Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medal’s awarded to 21 members

The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medal was awarded this year to front-line members of the Emergency Services, subject to certain criteria, and it was agreed by the government that eligible members of volunteer Search and Rescue teams should be included.

Hampshire Search and Rescue held its medal presentation event at the weekend, combined with a family picnic and music from the Band of the Hampshire Constabulary.

21 members eligible to receive their service medal. The awards were made by The Hon Hugo Cubitt DL who, as Deputy Lieutenant, kindly gave his time to represent the Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire.
